Abstract:V diplomskem delu z naslovom Vokalna tehnika in oblikovanje otroškega glasu smo proučili poznavanje vokalne tehnike med učitelji in učenci. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljena dosedanja znanstvena spoznanja o vokalni tehniki. V praktičnim delu so predstavljene izkušnje učencev 3. in 5. razreda Osnovne šole Gornja Radgona, ki obiskujejo pevski zbor, s področja vokalne tehnike v šoli.

Title:VOCAL TECHNIQUE AND CHILD'S VOICE FORMATION
Abstract:Thesis paper Vocal technique and child's voice formation deals with a research on the knowledge of vocal technique among teachers and pupils. In the theoretical part of the thesis paper, the existing scientific knowledge of vocal technique is presented. In the practical part, experiences with vocal techniques of the 3rd and 5th grade pupils of Osnovna šola Gornja Radgona (primary school) attending choir, are described. Our findings suggest that the pupils rarely do activities related to vocal technique in their music lessons. In the second part of our empirical research that included teachers from 14 schools in Pomurje, the research results are presented. We wanted to find out whether there are any differences in the knowledge of vocal technical skills and theories among teachers who teach in the first and second triennium, or any differences among teachers with regard to pupils' participation in school choirs. The results show that teachers are familiar with the topic of vocal technique and are aware of its importance. Further on, the research results indicate that the teachers’ knowledge of vocal technical skills and theories does not differentiate with regard to the triad, neither to the pupils’ participation in choirs. Hence, the choir participation has not affected development of vocal technical skills. Most teachers expressed their wish for more professional support, therefore some additional education in vocal technique and related topics would be reasonable for them.
