Title:Milking with voluntary milking system (VMS) and the impact on the physiology of milk release
Abstract:The aim of the thesis is to determine the effect of the VMS on the physiology of milk release and determine, whether there are effects of quarters, parity number and lactation stage on the studied properties of the milk yield, conductivity, maximum flow and low flow. The purpose of the thesis is also to identify possible correlations between the studied properties. In February 2010 we observed 75 cows in lactation. We found, that the impact of the quarter has significant impact on higher milk yield (kg), higher measured maximum flow and higher measured low flow in hindquarters . It was further found, that the effect of parity effect only on the milk yield (kg), on other studied properties has no influence. We discovered also the influence of lactation stage on the studied properties.
