Abstract:	Ugotovitve glede zadovoljstva občanov z delom policije in občutkom varnosti vsako leto preverja tako vodstvo policije kot tudi širša javnost. Javnost na ta način spremlja delo policije in sodeluje pri reševanju problemov v skupnosti, vodstvo policije pa usklajuje in načrtuje samo delo policistov in policije. Seveda so pri načrtovanju poleg teh ugotovitev pomembne tudi spremembe same kriminalitete, prekrški in kršitve javnega reda in miru, število prometnih nesreč in prometnih prekrškov ter ilegalne migracije. Javnost, kot uporabnik in ocenjevalec dela policije zelo pomembno vpliva na policijsko delo v skupnosti t.i. community policing. Osnovni namen raziskave, ki je bila s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika izvedena v Pomurju, je bil ugotoviti in preveriti zadovoljstvo prebivalcev Pomurja z delom policije, uspešnost dela na posameznih področjih policijskega dela ter stopnjo ogroženosti pomurskih prebivalcev in, ali se prebivalci ruralnega okolja počutijo bolj varne kot tisti, ki živijo v urbanem okolju. Rezultati študije kažejo določeno mero zaupanja prebivalcev Pomurja do policistov Policijske uprave Murska Sobota, ugodno varnostno situacijo in nizko stopnjo ogroženosti. Izpraševanci v Pomurju pomurske policije glede uspešnosti ne ocenjujejo tako dobro v primerjavi s policijami drugih evropskih držav. Nekoliko nižje ocene so ugotovljene tudi glede sodelovanja pomurske policije z lokalno skupnostjo. Pri tem so vsekakor pomembne tesne in okrepljene vezi med policijo in lokalno skupnostjo, t.i. partnersko sodelovanje, ki nedvomno pripomore k občutku varnosti.

Title:	THE SURVEY ABOUT CITIZENS' SATISFACTION, COINFIDENCE IN AND STANDPOINTS TOWARDS THE POLICE WORK AND POLICE SUCCESS AND CITIZENS' SENSE OF SECURITY IN THE REGION OF POLICE DIRECTORATE MURSKA SOBOTA
Abstract:	Top police management and the general public every year examine the findings concerning a citizen's satisfaction with a work of police and their feeling of security. In this way the public is monitoring the police work in the community and is participating in a problem solving process. In such manner the police leadership coordinates and plans work of the police officers and police in general. In this process of planning are beside the above findings relevant: the changing of crime, misdemeanours and public disorder, number of traffic accidents and traffic violations, and illegal migration. The public, as a user and evaluator of police work, can have an important impact on police work in the community – i.e., »community policing«. The primary goal of this study, conducted in Pomurje by a use of a survey questionnaire, was to establish the satisfaction of population with the police work in Pomurje, the efficiency of policing in the individual areas of police work and the level of risk of population in Pomurje and whether the population in the rural areas feel more secure than those living in urban areas. Research results show the certain degree of public's confidence in police officers of the Police Directorate Murska Sobota in Pomurje. Furthermore, the results show a favourable security situation and the low level of risk. The comparison of the research results shows that respondents in Pomurje do not rate police forces in Pomurje as high as the police forces in other European countries. Slightly lower are estimations concerning the police cooperation with the local community in Pomurje. Thereby close and strengthened ties between the police and the local community, the so-called partnership, are very important. They undoubtedly contribute to the individual's feeling safe and secure.
