Abstract:Diplomsko delo predstavlja raziskavo in ključne ugotovitve o tem, kakšen odnos imajo vzgojiteljice do narave in planinskih izletov ter kako ta odnos vpliva na načrtovanje in izvajanje izletniških aktivnosti v vrtcu in vzgojo otrok v pristnem naravnem okolju.

Title:The role of a childcare worker while conducting a field trip
Abstract:This graduate paper presents a survey and its key findings on the attitude of childcare workers towards nature and hiking trips and how that attitude affects the planning and conducting field trip activities in nursery school and the education of children in a genuine natural environment. The study relied on descriptive and causal-non-experimental methods of empirical pedagogical research in the form of a questionnaire, it included a non-probability sample from a concrete population of childcare workers in Velenje nursery schools which are divided into ten units in the town of Velenje and its surroundings. The study showed that the childcare workers who often go to the nature by themselves include such natural scientific sports activities in their educational programme; the childcare workers encourage children in activities in the nature; childcare workers organize field trips according to the programme Zlati sonček and/or Ciciban planinec and their own professional judgment. Field trips are most commonly conducted for the second age group, since the children are slightly older, which means that they are physically stronger, more susceptible to teaching contents and activities going on in the surroundings and generally experience all sports activities in way different to the one of younger children. By respecting the nature and the activities which (can) take place there the childcare workers transfer that to the lives of children being educated by them and intentionally or unintentionally influence their psychophysical development in a positive way.
