Abstract:	Popisi prebivalstva predstavljajo pomemben zgodovinski vir o pristnosti ljudi v določenem prostoru. Sredi 18. stoletja je državna oblast v habsburških dednih deželah začela ugotavljati število prebivalstva, njegovo strukturo in gibanje, saj je želela pridobiti splošen pregled o stanju prebivalstva, predvsem pa je oblast želela pridobiti potrebne podatke za reforme na področjih davčnega in vojaškonabornega sistema. Štetje je bilo izvedeno po gospostvih in cerkvenih enotah (župnijah), a zdaleč ni zajelo vseh tedaj obstoječih. V diplomskem delu je predstavljen popis hiš iz leta 1754. Na osnovi vira za tedanje celjsko okrožje sem obelodanila hišne gospodarje, ki so kot podložniki pripadali gospostvu Podčetrtek, gospostvu Šmarje pri Jelšah ter k (nad)župniji sv. Križ pri Rogaški Slatini. Najprej so teoretično predstavljeni ljudsko štetje leta 1754 in terezijanske reforme, nato je podan zgodovinski pregled Rogaške Slatine, Šmarja pri Jelšah in Podčetrtka z okolico do sredine 18. stoletja. Sledita transliteracija virov in njihova celostna obdelava.

Title:	Rogaška Slatina, Šmarje pri Jelšah, Podčetrtek and their environs in the provincial population census in 1754
Abstract:	Population censuses are an important historical source on the presence of people in a given area. In the middle of the 18th century, the state power in the Habsburg hereditary lands started to determine the number of population, its structure and movements, in order to gain a general overview of the state population. The state authority wanted to obtain information that was necessary for carrying out the fiscal and the military conscription reforms. The counting took place in the seigneuries and the ecclesiastical units (parishes) but it did not include all of the existing ones. The thesis presents a census of provincial population in 1754. By using the sources of the then district of Celje I presented the householders who were the serves and as such belonged to the seigneury of Podčetrtek, the seigneury of Šmarje pri Jelšah and to the parish of St. Cross in Rogaška Slatina. I theoretically presented the census in 1754 and the Theresian reforms. Later I wrote a historical overview of Rogaška Slatina, Šmarje pri Jelšah and Podčetrtek with the surrounding area by the middle of the 18th century. The thesis also includes a transliteration of the resouces and their overall processing.
