Abstract:
In contemporary business environment - the practice of responding to environmental or "green" issues in socially responsible manner - has become an important business issue and/or concern. From the logistic view point one of the nowadays most commonly used strategies related to environmental improvement is the adoption of green supply chain, which is usually addressed with term green logistics. In that context the paper deals with question, how to take into consideration and/or assure that organizations will tend to more green logistics. Therefore we make a suggestion how to more holistically understand issues about green logistics in the frame of manager's work and especially in decision making. In that context we identify several important environmental actions which importantly influence managerial attitudes towards issues about green logistics. Perceived statistically significant differences in manager's attitudes about green logistics issues in selected countries are explained and possible suggestions for them are proposed. Key findings of an international comparison of manager's attitudes towards issues about green logistics are therefore emphasized and discusses.
