Title:DEVELOPMENT OF E-LEARNING CONTENT FOR DECISION THEORY COURSE
Abstract:We leave in era of information and communication technology (ICT) and it is right to use all of its benefits. ICT brings changes also in the learning process. Lectures at Decision theory course were performed by electronic PowerPoint slides and we wanted to enable students more interactive and easier way of learning. In this paper we represent basis of decision theory and we describe decision support systems, which are indispensable in every company. We also represent different learning types and basis of e-learning. Advantages of e-learning are place and time flexibility, saving time and money, prompt and more interactive learning material and greater motivation for learning. Mayor disadvantages of e-learning are lack of social contact and communication and that equipment with ICT is essential. E-learning material is built in CourseLab e-learning authoring tool on basis of electronic PowerPoint slides. E-learning material contains 12 modules and each module contains content of individual chapter. Interactivity is provided by different objects. In academic year of 2011/2012 e-learning material was uploaded to Moodle, e-learning software platform, in order to gain feedback from students. Students’ opinions were checked by short questionnaire. Proposals from the students were closely examined and we present the possibilities to further develop e-learning material. We emphasize the importance of e-learning material being up-to-date and expose the fact, that only with yearly evaluation we can assure the highest quality of e-learning material. This way we enable that students will find e-learning material interesting and that they will use it with pleasure.
