Abstract:	Pri izvajanju manipulacij, skladiščenju in transportu nevarnega blaga sta zelo pomembna izbor in uporaba ustrezne embalaže. Embalaža nevarnega blaga mora biti izdelana in stestirana v skladu s sodobnimi standardi ter z upoštevanjem domačih in mednarodnih zakonov in pravil. Embalaža namreč vpliva na zaščito izdelka in na varnost pri manipulaciji z nevarnimi snovmi. Ustrezna, standardizirana embalaža s svojimi lastnostmi opravlja različne funkcije, s čimer vpliva na večjo racionalnost in manjše stroške logističnih procesov. V Slovenski vojski sta v uporabi starejša, neustrezna embalaža in novejša, standardizirana embalaža. Sredstva, pakirana v neustrezno embalažo, imajo precej krajšo življenjsko dobo kot sredstva, pakirana v sodobno, standardizirano embalažo. Slednja omogoča tudi večjo varnost pri manipulacijah in večjo racionalnost pri izvajanju logističnih procesov.

Title:	THE ROLE OF PACKAGING OF DANGEROUS GOODS IN LOGISTIC PROCESSES
Abstract:	The choice and use of appropriate packaging is very important for the manipulation, storage and transport of dangerous goods. Packaging of dangerous goods must be made and tested in accordance to modern standards and domestic as well as international laws and regulations. The packaging has an impact on both, the product protection and the safety of handling of hazardous materials. Appropriate, standardized packaging with its characteristics performs many functions that impact on cutting down the costs of logistic processes. The Slovenian Armed Forces use both older, improper packaging as well as newer, standardized packaging. Goods packaged in older, improper packaging have a much shorter life expectancy than the goods packaged in modern, standardized packaging. The latter also allows greater safety in manipulation and in cutting down the costs of logistic processes.
