Abstract:	V diplomskem delu smo raziskali uporabo avtomatskih defibrilatorjev (AED) na javnih krajih s strani očividcev. Raziskava je temeljila na deskriptivni metodi. Ugotavljamo, da so očividci v 20 primerih uporabili AED, pri tem je AED v šestih primerih priporočal in tudi sprožil električni sunek. Vzpostavili smo kontakt s šestimi očividci, ki so ga uporabili in opisali njihove izkušnje z uporabo AED-ja. Ugotavljamo, da intervjuvanci niso imeli težav pri vklopu aparata, niso imeli težav pri prilepljanju elektrod na prsni koš in niso imeli težav pri izbiri pravilnega mesta za prilepitev elektrod. Prav tako niso imeli težav s sledenjem navodil katere jim je podajal AED in niso oklevali, ko jim je AED svetoval sprožitev električnega sunka. Zabeležena je samo ena zloraba AED. V Sloveniji ni uradne baze o nameščenosti AED-jev, dispečerstvo večinoma nima podatkov o nameščenosti AED-jev in ljudi ne usmerjajo k uporabi. Potrebna bi bila sistemska ureditev tega področja. Nekaj uporab AED-jev je bilo na javnih prireditvah, zato predlagamo, da bi se v času prireditve AED prinesel iz najbližje lokacije na samo prireditev.

Title:	Cases of activation of automated external defibrillators (AED) by bystanders in public places
Abstract:	In the diploma thesis we have researched the use of automatic external defibrillators (AED) in public places by bystanders. The research was based on the descriptive method. We can establish that the bystanders used AED in 20 cases. In six cases AED suggested and also delivered the electric shot. We came into contact with six bystanders, who used it and described their experience with the use of AED. We can establish that the interviewed people did not have any problems with turning on the device, they did not have difficulties with attaching of electrodes on thorax and they did not have any problems in choosing the correct spot for the attachment of the electrodes. They also did not have difficulties to follow the instructions directed by AED and they did not hesitate, when AED suggested them to deliver the electric shot. Only one AED abuse was noted. Slovenia does not have an official base about the placement of AED`s, dispatchers mostly do not have information about the placement of AED`s, they do not direct people to their use. This field needs to be systematically regulated. We reported some use of AED`s at public occasions, that why we suggest that AED should be brought from its nearest location during the occasion itself.
