Abstract:Diplomsko delo zajema zasnovo in izdelavo sistema za določanje smeri izvora radijskega signala in poročanje z uporabo radioamaterskega omrežja APRS. Sistem smo zgradili modularno zaradi lažje nadgradnje. Oddajna enota poroča v omrežje APRS, iskalna enota, za katero smo izdelali sprejemno anteno, pa določa smer izvora signala in posreduje informacijo oddajni enoti. Jedro obeh enot sta mikrokrmilnika. Cilj je bil realizirati sistem za določanje smeri izvora sprejemanega radijskega signala, ki je zmožen te podatke shranjevati in deliti z ostalimi zainteresiranimi uporabniki prek omrežja APRS.

Title:RADIO DIRECTION FINDING AND REPORTING USING APRS NETWORK
Abstract:This thesis encompasses the development and construction of a system for determining the direction of a radio signal source (radio direction finding) and reporting using the amateur radio APRS network. The system was built modularly, with the ease of upgrade at mind. The transmitting unit sends reports to the APRS network. The search unit, for which we built a receiving antenna, determines the direction of the signal source and relays this information to the transmitting unit. Both units were constructed around a microcontroller. Our aim was to realize a system for radio direction finding which is capable of saving this information and sharing it with other interested users over the APRS network.
