Abstract:Skladiščna dejavnost in skladiščenje sta pomembni področji vsakega podjetja, saj si z zalogami zagotavlja nemoteno poslovanje.

Title:THE DESIGN OF THE WAREHOUSE FOR COMPUTER HARDWARE AT THE FACULTY OF LOGISTICS UM
Abstract:The warehouse activity and storage are an important areas of every company, because they insure, together with supplies, undisturbed business. On the Faculty of logistics UM the biggest storage problematic lies in the inefficient organisation of the warehouse and it has mainly to do with the lack of storage space. Consequently, the lack of space leads to the inability to have control over the supplies, to inappropriate warehouse operations, which are not in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions, as well as to bad organisation. The goal of this diploma thesis is to design a warehouse, place the equipment and calculate the warehouse capacity. Firstly, the theoretical basics, which have helped us make the final product, are presented. Afterwards, the present state is described and the critical analysis, which has helped us define the problems connected with the previously mentioned problematic, is made, also possible improvements are pointed out. We also presented two different possible solutions on how to settle the warehouse equipment. Based on the information about the wanted supply size, we discovered that the results we have gotten suffice the needs and that the placement of such a warehouse is appropriate, because it is bound to bring the wanted results to the company. At the end of the diploma thesis, we have gathered all the results, proposed a solution and laid out a more detailed description of the investment costs and of all the savings we can expect after the investment has taken place.
