Title:Vpliv astme na kakovost življenja

Abstract:Izhodišča: Astma je najpogostejša kronična bolezen dihal, ki pri vsakem bolniku poteka drugače. Čeprav zdravila za astmo ni, se simptomi blažijo z različnimi zdravili in s spremembo življenjskega stila. Zdravstvena vzgoja pripomore k boljši kontroli bolezni, kakovosti življenja in obvladovanju bolezni. V diplomskem delu smo želeli ugotoviti vpliv astme na kakovost življenja. Raziskovalna metodologija: Raziskava je temeljila na kvantitativni metodologiji z uporabo anketnega vprašalnika, sestavljena iz 34 vprašanj zaprtega tipa. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 44 astmatikov. Izvedena je bila v alergološki in pulmološki ambulanti Bolnišnice Topolšica in je potekala od marca do junija 2012. Rezultati: Po rezultatih raziskave smo prišli do ugotovitve, da je astma pri 66 % anketiranih dobro nadzorovana in da jih več kot polovica mora jemati terapijo enkrat do večkrat na dan. Pri 29 % anketiranih vpliva astma na duševno zdravje. Ugotovili smo, da zaradi astme večina astmatikov opravlja vsakodnevne aktivnosti z nekaj težavami. Do večjih ovir prihaja pri športnih aktivnostih, kjer ima težave kar 73 % anketiranih. Kljub oviram v življenju pa 57 % astmatikov meni, da se njihova kakovost življenja ni zmanjšala po diagnozi bolezni. Sklep: Astma ima največji vpliv na kakovost življenja pri opravljanju vsakodnevnih in športnih aktivnostih. Z zdravstveno vzgojo bi bilo potrebno osveščati bolnike in jim svetovati, kako se izogibati sprožilcem astme.

Title:The impact of asthma on quality of life
Abstract:Background: Asthma is the most common chronic respiratory disease, which is different from one patient, to another. Although asthma is not a curable disease, the symptoms can be treated with different type of drugs and a change of lifestyle. Health education contributes to a better control of the disease, quality of life and managing the disease. The thesis of the diploma focuses on, how asthma affects patients and their quality of life. The theoretical part summarizes the basic facts about asthma, and factors, which provoke the disease. The theoretical part of the diploma also describes asthma in the time of pregnancy and childhood, it also describes, the quality of life and the importance of health education of the patients. Research methodology: The research based on the quantity method with the usage of a questionary. The questionnaire consisted 34 closed questions. The study included 44 asthmatics. The research took place in the allergies and pulmonary clinic in hospital Topolšica. The survey was conducted from March to the beginning of June 2012.Results: According to a survey we came to the conclusion that asthma is well controlled at 66 % of the respondents and that more than half of the respondents must be administered therapy once to several times a day. In 29 % of the polled asthma affects mental condition. We found that most of the asthmatics carry out the day-to- day activities with some difficulties. Major obstacles coming in sports activities where 73 % of the respondents have problems. Despite the obstacles in their lives 57 % asthmatics believes that their quality of life has not decreased after the diagnosis of the disease. Conclusion: Asthma has the greatest impact on quality of life in the course of everyday and sports activities. With health education would be necessary to raise the level of patients with tips on how to avoid the trigger of asthma.
