Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava leto 1918, natančneje njegovo drugo polovico, ki pomeni konec štiri leta trajajoče ter pogubne t.i. Velike ali 1. svetovne vojne, razpad Avstro-Ogrske, konec več stoletne vladavine Habsburžanov, vrhunec uresničevanja narodnih idej ter s tem nastanek številnih novih držav na evropskih tleh, med njimi tudi jugoslovanske. Predvsem za slednje so bile potrebne velike izkušnje ter moč posameznih narodnih voditeljev ter borba, težnje in zaupanje samih narodov. Ozaveščenost ljudi o omenjenih ter ostalih vsakdanjih temah so ljudem tako v tujini kot na slovenskih tleh v največji meri omogočali časniki, ki pa so na podlagi svojih političnih usmeritev novice prinašali zelo raznoliko.

Title:NEWSPAPERS IN SLOVENIA IN THE SECOND HALF OF 1918
Abstract:Final thesis treats the year 1918, or to be more precise, its second half which means the end of four yearlong disastrous so called the Great War or the World War I, break-up of Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the end of more than hundred years long reign of the Habsburgs, the peak of realization of national ideas and foundation of numerous new countries in Europe including Yugoslavian. For in the latter case many experiences, power, fighting of individual national leaders and trust of nations were necessary. Newspapers brought news on very different ways in accordance with their political directions and enable awareness of people about mentioned themes and other everyday things at home or abroad.
