Abstract:	Požarna pregrada je osnovna komponenta za zagotavljanje informacijske varnosti v organizacijah. Izbiri ustrezne požarne pregrade in njeni pravilni implementaciji moramo posvetiti veliko pozornost. V prvem, teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge, smo opisali osnove računalniških komunikacij in protokolov. Poleg tega smo podali osnovne funkcionalnosti modernih požarnih pregrad. V drugem, praktičnem delu diplomske naloge, smo pozornost posvetili izbiri ustrezne požarne pregrade za podjetje Unistar LC d.o.o. Pozornost smo namenili postopku definicije tehničnih zahtev, katerim mora nova požarna pregrada ustrezati. Na osnovi zahtevanih tehničnih lastnosti smo izbrali štiri požarne pregrade različnih proizvajalcev. Med štirimi požarnimi pregradami smo izvedli primerjavo glede na zmogljivost, varnostno učinkovitost in ceno. Na osnovi rezultatov primerjave, smo izbrali požarno pregrado Check Point DS 4207 kot najustreznejšo za podjetje Unistar LC d.o.o. V zadnjem delu je prikazan postopek implementacije izbrane požarne pregrade Check Point DS 4207. Prikazani postopki vsebujejo nastavitve IP naslovov na posamezni požarni pregradi, postavitev gruče, baze dostopnih pravil, preslikave IP naslovov, sistema za preprečevanje vdorov, preverjanje identitete in nastavitev navideznih privatnih omrežij. Na koncu sledi analiza učinkovitosti, s katero preverjamo ustreznost nastavitev požarne pregrade. Končni rezultat diplomske naloge je visoko razpoložljiva in zanesljiva požarna pregrada, ki bistveno prispeva k višjem nivoju informacijske varnosti v podjetju Unistar LC d.o.o.

Title:	IMPLEMENTATION OF FIREWALL IN UNISTAR LC D.O.O.COMPANY
Abstract:	Firewall is the main device, used for network security assurance in organisations. Choosing the appropriate firewall and its correct implementation is an essential task. In the first, theoretical part of the diploma thesis, the basis of network communications and protocols are explained. Besides, a review of the most important functionalities of modern or next generation firewalls is given. In the second, practical part, we focus on selection of an appropriate firewall for the company Unistar LC d.o.o. The required technical characteristic that new firewall must meet were defined. Among many firewalls available in the market, four most suitable solutions were chosen. Between all four models the performance, security effectiveness and price comparison was carried out. On the basis of comparison results the Check Point DS 4207 firewall was selected to be the most appropriate firewall for the company Unistar LC d.o.o. In the last part of the diploma thesis, the implementation process of the Check Point DS 4207 firewall is described in detail. The implementation process includes IP addresses setting, firewall clustering, rule base definition, network address translation, intrusion prevention system activation, identity awareness and virtual private networking. At the end, an example of network traffic analysis, which is used to check the firewall settings, is also shown. The final result of the diploma thesis is a highly available and reliable firewall which contributes essentially to higher level of security of Unistar LC d.o.o computer network.
