Abstract:	Ljudje danes na delovnem mestu preživijo velik del časa, kjer pa odnosi niso samo prijateljski in spoštljivi. Pojavljajo se različne oblike nasilja, ki prizadenejo vedno več ljudi. Ena izmed teh psihičnih oblik nasilja, o kateri je vedno več raziskav in govora, je mobbing. Mobbing pomeni načrtno psihično nasilje, trpinčenje in šikiranje, ki žrtev privede do socialne izolacije. Žrtve mobbinga so lahko vsi zaposleni, tudi odgovorni na delovnih mestih, ne glede na starost in spol. Vzroki, ki lahko pripeljejo do mobbinga so lahko poslovne, osebne in strokovne narave. Posledice, ki nastanejo pa so lahko tako velike za žrtev kot tudi za organizacijo. Organizaciji mobbing povzroči visoke stroške, na žrtvi pa pusti psihične in fizične težave. Ker gre za tako resen problem, je preventiva izrednega pomena. Treba je vzpostaviti javno zavest o škodljivih posledicah mobbinga in razviti družbeno občutljivost za ta problem.

Title:	MOBBING AND THE RELATED COSTS
Abstract:	Nowadays people spend a lot of their time at work where the relationships are not always friendly and respectful. Different types of violence can emerge at work, and those affect more and more people every day. One of those mental types of violence, which is being researched and talked about is mobbing. Mobbing is intentional mental violence, battering and chicaning, which leaves the victim socially isolated. Everyone who is employed in the company can become a mobbing victim (also highly responsible persons).Gender and age does not matter. There are several reasons for mobbing. For example: business, professional or personal interests. The consequences from mobbing can leave a tremendous impact on the victim and on the organization. The organization has to deal with high expenses, and the victim suffers from physical and mental damage. Because this is a serious issue, prevention is of crucial meaning. We have to establish a public consciousness about the damaging consequences from mobbing, and develop a social sensitivity for this problem.
