Abstract:V pričujočem diplomskem seminarju smo obravnavali pomen pogajanj v poslovnem svetu. Kot izhodišče smo spoznali tehniko pogajanja, t.i. »elevator pitch«, delovno prakso v podjetju, pogajanje in zaposlitveni razgovor. Opredelili smo delovno prakso v podjetju. S pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika smo želeli ugotoviti zadovoljstvo študentov Ekonomsko-poslovne fakultete VS programa, ki so opravljali delovno prakso v izbranih podjetjih. Delovne izkušnje danes niso več najpomembnejša postavka, temveč sta to talent in splošna razgledanost. Podjetja verjamejo v prednost internega razvijanja ljudi s temi lastnostmi in zato agresivno tekmujejo med seboj za najboljše mlade talente že v času njihovega študija.

Title:"ELEVATOR PITCH" AS A WAY OF NEGOTIATING THE WORK-EXPERIENCE
Abstract:In this graduate seminar we discussed the importance of negotiations in the business world. First we described a negotiation technique called "the elevator pitch", and then proceeded to discussing industrial work placement (work practice) in a company, negotiation and a job interview. We defined work practice within a company. With the help of a questionnaire, which focused on the work practice in selected companies, we wanted to determine the satisfaction level of students' of the Faculty of Economics and Business, who have already completed work practice. We learned that work practice is a useful and necessary part of the study process, it enables students to learn how to work within the company and also how to work in a team. Work practices are a great way to attract workers because they provide many advantages for both students and businesses. The condition of mutual satisfaction is a well worked-out work practice programme. Again, we can learn a lot from foreign companies which invest a lot of resources in this particular area. No longer is work practice the most important factor when it comes to business – talent and general knowledge are also what counts. Companies believe in the benefits of the internal development of people with these characteristics, and therefore aggressively compete for the best young talents, even as early as in the time of their study.
