Abstract:	V diplomskem delu z naslovom Kmetijsko izrazje na Cvenu sem najprej predstavila geografske, zgodovinske in kulturne značilnosti vasi, nato pa še kmetijstvo in kmečko življenje na Cvenu. Nato sem natančneje prikazala glasoslovne, oblikoslovne in skladenjske značilnosti cvenskega govora, ki ga slovenska dialektologija uvršča k srednjeprleškim govorom, ki so del prleškega narečja. Ta govor se govori na spodnjem Ptujskem polju, med rekama Ščavnico in Pesnico. Zanj je značilen enoglasniški vokalni sistem. Govor ne pozna tonemskega naglaševanja. Tvorba zloženih povedi se bistveno ne razlikuje od knjižne tvorbe. Poglavitni del diplomskega dela predstavlja slovar zbranega narečnega izrazja v vasi Cven. Zbrano gradivo je urejeno v obliki slovarja, zapisano je v fonetični obliki in je bilo s pomočjo strokovne literature natančno obdelano. V slovarju so zajete stare besede, ki jih poznajo le še starejši govorci in počasi izginjajo iz govora, pa tudi sodobne besede, ki so posledica uvedbe sodobne mehanizacije, le-te so največkrat bile sprejete v cvenski govor preko knjižnega jezika. Slovar obsega 405 slovarskih gesel, med katerimi je največ samostalnikov. Besede so v slovarju razvrščene po abecednem redu. Knjižni ali poknjiženi različici sledi zapis besede v fonetični obliki z ustreznimi slovničnimi kvalifikatorji. Dodana sta pomenska razlaga in izvor besed. Osnovno kmetijsko narečje je slovansko, saj je največji delež besed neprevzetih, med izposojenkami pa je največ germanizmov, kar je verjetno posledica sobivanja z nemško govorečo jezikovno skupnostjo. Preko nemščine so bili največkrat prevzeti tudi romanizmi. Narečno gradivo sem zbrala s pomočjo vprašalnice, ki jo je pripravila Francka Benedikt. Informatorka je bila Frančka Jurinič iz Cvena. Ker je odraščala na kmetiji, pozna veliko starih orodij in pripomočkov, ki so jih ljudje nekoč uporabljali pri obdelovanju zemlje in pri drugih kmečkih opravilih. Pri zbiranju gradiva mi je pomagal tudi sovaščan, g. Miran Puconja, doktor etnoloških znanosti.

Title:	RURAL EXPRESSIONS IN CVEN
Abstract:	In the dissertation titled Rural expressions on Cven I first introduced historical and cultural characteristics of the village and then the agriculture and the agricultural life on Cven. Further, I precisely showed phonetic, morphologic and syntactic characteristics of the speech spoken on Cven. This speech is classified by the dialectology to middle-Prlekija speeches, which are a part of Prlekija dialect. This speech is spoken on the lower Ptuj field, between the rivers Ščavnica and Pesnica. It has monophthong vocal system. It does not have tonemical accentuation. Formation of compound sentences is not different than in literary language. The main part of the dissertation is a dictionary of the gathered dialectological words spoken on Cven. The material is ordered in the form of the dictionary. It is written in the phonetic transcription and with the help of professional literature precisely processed. In the dictionary we can find old words that only old people know and new words which are the result of new, modern mechanisation. These new words were accepted into the speech of Cven through literal language. The dictionary includes 405 dictionary passwords, among those is the highest number of nouns. Words are arranged in the alphabet order. Literal or semi-literal version is followed by the word in the phonetic transcription with the appropriate syntactical qualifiers. The origin and the meaning of the word are added. Basic agricultural dialect is Slavonic, the largest share of the words is inseized, among the borrowings is the largest number of Germanisms. This is probably the cause of living next to the German speaking community. Through German some Roman words were engrossed. I gathered the dialectological material with the help of a questionnaire which was made by Francka Benedikt. Francka Jurinič from Cven was the informer. She grew up on a farm and therefore she knows a lot of old tools and equipments, which people used to use on farms. Mr. Miran Puconja helped me to gather the materials that I needed.
