Abstract:
Diplomska naloga obravnava opisovanje konceptov in relacij med njimi znotraj domene knjižničarstva. Izbrani podatki iz bibliografskih informacijskih sistemov SICRIS in COBISS so bili pretvorjeni v ustrezno semantično-opisno obliko. Na njihovi podlagi je bila v orodju Protégé ustvarjena ontologija, ki formalno definira pomen posameznih razredov in njihovih lastnosti. V programskem jeziku Java je bila s pomočjo ogrodja Jena izdelana semantična aplikacija, ki je zmožna pretvorbe podatkov iz omenjenih sistemov ter združitve z modelom ontologije z namenom boljšega razumevanja in organizacije podatkov domene. Aplikacija omogoča pregled semantično obogatenih podatkov ter izvajanje kompleksnih SPARQL povpraševanj nad njimi.

Title:
Development of semantic application for analysing data from SICRIS and COBISS
Abstract:
The thesis deals with describing the concepts, and the relations between them, within the library domain. Selected data from the bibliographic information systems SICRIS and COBISS have been converted into a proper semantically-descriptive form. On their basis, an ontology that formally defines the meaning of individual classes and their properties has been designed in Protégé. A semantic application that is capable of converting the data from these systems and merging it with the ontology model in order to better understand and organize the data within the domain has been created in the Java programming language using Jena framework. The application provides an overview of semantically rich data and allows the execution of complex SPARQL queries on them.
