Abstract:
Z vsakim letom delovne dobe je misel o pokoju vedno bolj prisotna. Pravica do pokojnine nam naj bi omogočila brezskrbno in dostojno življenje v zadnjem življenjskem obdobju. V generaciji naših starih staršev je bila ta pravica nekaj samoumevnega. Zaradi napak v preteklosti, demografskih sprememb in trenutne ekonomske situacije to ni več zagotovljeno. Te posledice so vidne že sedaj in bodo še bolj izrazite v prihodnosti. Zato so potrebne korenite spremembe v našem pokojninskem sistemu. Nerazumljivo je, da nove reforme niso bile sprejete. Po mojem mnenju se takšne odločitve ne smejo sprejemati na referendumih, saj moramo takšne odločitve – o skupni prihodnosti – zaupati strokovnjakom. V teh kriznih časih bo moral vsak prispevati svoj delež, zato mora biti misel o medgeneracijski solidarnosti prisotna.

Title:
A COMPARISON BETWEEN THE SLOVENIAN AND AUSTRIAN PENSION SYSTEMS
Abstract:
With every passing year of work the thought of retirement is more often present. Pensions should provide decent carefree life in the last period of our lives. In our grandparents' generation the right for a fair pension was something taken for granted. Due to lots of mistakes done in the past, as well as demographic changes and present economic situation, it is not guaranteed any more. The consequences are seen at present and will be even more in the future. This is the reason why radical changes in our pension system are necessary. It's incomprehensible that the new changes weren’t accepted. In my opinion such changes shouldn’t be adopted in a referendum, but made by our experts. In these times of crisis everyone will have to contribute their share. Therefore , the thought of intergenerational solidarity should be present all the time.
