Abstract:Omrežja so postala del našega vsakdana in so prisotna vsepovsod. Poznamo dve vrsti tipičnih omrežij: LAN (Angl. Local Area Network) in WAN (angl. Wide Area Network).

Title:LAN ARCHITECTURE WITH NAT, SECURED VLAN AND WIFI ACCESS
Abstract:Networks became a very important part of our lives and we find them everywhere. Two kinds of typical networks exist: LAN´s (Local Area Networks) and WAN´s (Wide Area Networks). We use LAN networks for connecting personal computers and other network devices that are geographically close together. For instance: buildings, laboratory or business buildings. We use WAN networks for connecting network devices which are geographically apart(for covering wider geographically areas). These networks are used for connecting different LAN´s together. In this thesis we are going to build a LAN network. This network will have three LAN routers; each of these routers will represent different floors in a large business building (different subnets). On these routers we are going to connect different network devices, for instance switches, access points and personal computers. With right configuration of the network devices, we are going to enable data traffic among the connected devices. To illustrate a network in real life, we are going to configure also a WAN with a router that will represent an ISP Iinternet Service Provider) and a host for testing purposes. At the end we will connect LAN´s and the WAN together and verify the operation.
