Abstract:Namen diplomske naloge je po korakih predstaviti projektno delo, v okviru katerega otrok se seznanja, spoznava in raziskuje različna gozdna drevesa, njihov razvoj in pot do izbranega produkta – papirja. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljen življenjski krog drevesa in njegovi deli. V nadaljevanju so opisane najbolj splošne drevesne vrste na Slovenskem. Preko spoznavanja drevesa in drevesnih vrst pridemo do papirja, kjer se seznanimo z izdelavo papirja v preteklosti in danes, različnimi vrstami papirja ter izdelavo na strojni in ročni način. V nadaljevanju sledi opis projekta in projektnega dela, njegove faze. Opisano je, kako predšolski otrok spoznava naravno okolje, kakšen je pomen zgodnjega raziskovanja in vlogo vzgojitelja pri tem raziskovanju. Praktični del zajema celostno didaktično zasnovo projekta Od drevesa do papirja. Projekt je trajal deset dni. Za vsak dan je podan opis izvedbe in analiza z osnovnimi ugotovitvami.

Title:PROJECT WORK IN KINDERGARTEN: FROM TREE TO PAPER
Abstract:Introducing project work through stages is the purpose of this thesis. With project work a child learns about and explores various forest trees, their growth, and path to the chosen product – paper. In the theoretical part of the thesis, life cycle of a tree and the tree's parts are presented. The most common tree species in Slovenia are described in the continuation. Learning about trees and tree species leads us to paper. Furthermore, production of paper in the past and nowadays, different types of paper and manual as well as machine production of paper are presented. Next, the project, project work and its stages are described. The manner in which a pre-school child familiarizes himself or herself with natural environment is depicted as well as the meaning of early exploration and the pre-school teacher's role in this exploration. The entire didactic outline of From Tree to Paper project is comprised in the practical part. The project lasted for ten days. A description of implementation and analysis with basic findings is given for each day.
