Abstract:
Dejstvo je, da je ključen problem mestnih središč predvsem primestni dnevno migracijski promet. V ta namen je potrebno razvijati kombinirane prometne sisteme in z njihovo pomočjo razbremeniti mestna središča. Pri tem pomembno vlogo igrajo t. i. prestopne točke oziroma intermodalna vozlišča, kjer se prometni tokovi medsebojno združujejo in povezujejo. Takšno vozlišče predstavlja tudi sistem Park & Ride. Glavni cilj slednjega je preusmeriti ljudi od uporabe osebnega vozila in to za vsaj en del njihove poti, kjer lahko uporabljajo javni potniški promet ter posledično zmanjšati zasičenost mestnih središč z osebnimi avtomobili.

The implementation of Park & Ride system in Maribor-Studenci
Abstract:
. The key problem of city centers is its daily suburban migration traffic. For the purposes of resolving this problem we need to develop combined systems, which would relieve city centers. An important role in the system is assigned to crossing points or intermodal junctions, where traffic flows are merged and linked together. That kind of junction is also the P&R. The main objective of the P&R System is to redirect people from using personal cars for at least one part of their commute. Consequently, the P&R System would lower the traffic saturation of city centers.
