Title:ZGODOVINA MISIJONARJEV V AFRIKI S POUDARKOM NA ANGOLI IN MOZAMBIKU

Abstract:V diplomski nalogi je obravnavana zgodovina misijonarjev v Afriki s poudarkom na Angoli in Mozambiku. Delo in življenje misijonarjev se v primerjavi s preteklostjo danes razlikuje. Prvi misijonarji so živeli v duhu njihovega časa. Njihovo delo je temeljilo na tem, da krstijo čim več ljudi, nekateri so se ukvarjali s trgovino s sužnji in bogateli. Po drugi strani pa so se naučili lokalnega jezika, živeli med domačini, skrbeli za izobraževanje in bili so prvi jezikoslovci. Danes je večji poudarek na sodelovanju, evangelij se oznanja v lokalnem jeziku, upoštevana je domača kultura. Lahko se reče, da je bil včasih poudarek na kulturaciji, danes pa je na inkulturaciji. Pri obravnavi zgodovine Angole in Mozambika so izpostavljeni prvi enakopravni stiki s Portugalci, ki so se s trgovino s sužnji, berlinskim kongresom in kolonizacijo spremenili v neenakopravne. Po letu 1960 so se začela osvobodilna gibanja, ki so trajala do osamosvojitve leta 1975. Tej sta sledili državljanski vojni, na kateri je imela velik vpliv hladna vojna. Mirovna pogodba v Mozambiku je bila podpisana leta 1992, v Angoli pa leta 2002. V teh dveh državah je do danes delovalo enajst slovenskih misijonarjev in laiških misijonarjev. Njihova poglavitna naloga je pomoč pri izobraževanju ter vzgoji otrok, pomoč revnim, brezdomcem in obolelim za virusom HIV. S pomočjo člankov iz revije Misijonska obzorja in intervjuja je v diplomski nalogi narejen poudarek na življenju in delu sestre Zvonke Mikec.

Title:THE HISTORY OF MISSIONARIES IN AFRICA WITH EMPHASIS ON ANGOLA AND MOZAMBIQUE
Abstract:The thesis discusses the history of missionaries in Africa, especially in Angola and Mozambique. The work and life of missionaries in the past was quite different from the one in the present time. The first missionaries lived according to their time. Their mission was to baptize as many people as possible, some of them were even involved in the slave trafficking and earned a lot of money. On the other side they learned the local language, they lived among native people and they were the first linguists. Today, their work is based on cooperation, gospels are told in local languages, native culture is taken into consideration. It could be said that in the past, the main stress was on culturation whereas nowadays it is on interculturation. Discussing the history of Angola and Mozambique the main focus is on the first contacts with the Portuguese based on equality which were turned into subordinate relationship by slave trafficking, the Congress of Berlin and colonization. After 1960, movements for independence began and lasted until the independence in 1975. Two civil wars followed and the cold war had a big influence on them. The peace treaties were signed 1992 in Mozambique and 2002 in Angola. Up to present day eleven Slovenian missionaries and lay missionaries worked in these two countries. They have mainly worked to educate and raise children, help the poor, the homeless and the HIV-positive patients. Based on articles from the magazine “Misijonska obzorja” and an interview the thesis focuses on life and work of sister Zvonka Mikec.
