V teh temah so učenci spoznavali zakulisje gledališča, se učili o lutkah, stripih, dnevnikih, pravljicah, o zgodovini knjig, o knjižnicah, kako napisati referat in še mnogo več.

Title:SLOVENE IN THE COMPETITION VESELA ŠOLA
Abstract:Vesela šola is the common name of the educational supplement of the magazines Pil and Plus as well as the competition for pupils between 4th and 9th grade of grammar schools and special grammar schools. The competition was initiated over 40 years ago and more than million pupils have already competed in it. The intention of Vesela šola is to present knowledge, which is not part of the school curriculum. Over the last 20 years 13 topics related to Slovene and 4 topics partly related to Slovene have been issued within Vesela šola. That represents 6 % of all topics. In those topics pupils learned about theatre backstage, puppets, comic books, diaries, fairy tales, the history of books, libraries, how to write a paper and much more. The empirical part of the diploma thesis consists of the survey for pupils and interviews with mentors. The survey showed that Vesela šola is popular with pupils, that success in school is not related to success in the competition, and that the Slovene language in Vesela šola is more popular with girls than boys. In the interviews we find out that Slovene could be represented more often in Vesela šola and that participation in the competition is beneficial for pupils. Slovene topics in Vesela šola are declining.
