Abstract:V diplomski nalogi se bomo ukvarjali z modulacijo signalov v telekomunikacijskih sistemih.

Title:LEARNING MODULE FOR QUADRATURE AMPLITUDE MODULATION
Abstract:We will study signal modulation in telecommunication systems in this diploma. There are several types of modulations, which are used for specific purposes, like phase, amplitude, and frequency modulations. We use modulations for adaptation of different signals to different transmissible signals. Moreover, modulations enable noise reduction and interferences, selection of transmission channel on the same data carrier, multiplexing and capacity increase of devices. Digital modulations differ from continuous modulations only in discreeter modulation states. Modulation states differ from each other in amplitude, frequency, phase, time or in combination of these parameters. We are going to describe quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), which was developed because of common usage of ASK and PSK in one modular signal. Communication is more effective with the usage of both. That means that is possible to convey more bits per symbol on transmissible signals. Because the QAM modulation is very complex for implementation in circuit, we are going to implement the circuit as QPSK modulation, which is the same as 4-QAM.
