V prvem delu smo proučevali, v kolikšni meri visokošolski zavodi v Republiki Sloveniji spremljajo organizacijsko klimo in zadovoljstvo zaposlenih oziroma, če je sploh zaznati ta pojav merjenja. Ugotovili smo, da ni zaznati statističnih razlik glede na vrsto visokošolskega zavoda (javni, zasebni), število zaposlenih in število let delovanja zavoda.

Title:MONITORING CLIMATE AND EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION
Abstract:Each employee, by virtue of his performance and personal qualities, generates a specific atmosphere, that related to the entire organization differentiates single company from the other ones, and acts upon the organizational mood. The research part of this master's thesis has been divided in two parts. In the first one we have examined how much higher education institutions in the Republic of Slovenia monitor organizational climate and employee satisfaction, respectively, if the phenomenon of their measurement is at all noticeable. We have found out, that there are no detectable statistical differences depending on the type of higher education institution (public, private), number of employees and duration of operating of the single institute. In the second part of the survey we have observed the organizational climate and employee satisfaction at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor. On the basis of collected data we have checked the research hypothesis and found that there are differences between men and women related to satisfaction with their immediate superiors. We have established that job satisfaction has a positive impact on personal satisfaction. Between the satisfaction with the status on the Faculty and the satisfaction with the salary, there is a positive relationship. Among employees, there are also differences in perception of organizational climate depending on seniority on the Faculty, but they are not statistically significant. There are also no statistically significant differences in personal satisfaction of the employees between pedagogical and administrative workers. The dimensions of organizational climate are on average better evaluated by women as by men. In the conclusion we have made suggestions for improvement of the organizational climate and employee satisfaction at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. On the basis of the achieved results and the study of professional literature, we believe that the monitoring and measurement of organizational climate and employee satisfaction is very important for the Faculty. In this way, the managers can notice weak points, can avoid the low level of motivation, bad climate and employee dissatisfaction. It's the analysis of the results that is important, and the awareness that the primary purpose of the organizational climate is the integrated development and focusing in the desired direction, meanwhile the satisfaction of each individual in his professional field is the basis for an active operation in order to achieve the objectives.
