Abstract:	V diplomski nalogi vpeljemo pojem upravljanja sredstev in pojasnimo njegov namen in cilj. Predstavljeni sta metodologiji ITIL in COBIT ter zahteve standardov ISO 17799 in ISO 27001, s katerimi se zagotavlja poenoten način upravljanja sredstev. Prikazane so splošne značilnosti, lastnosti in prednosti vpeljave posamezne metodologije ali standarda v organizacijo. Osrednji del diplomske naloge je namenjen predstavitvi sistema ODOS, ki v osnovi omogoča preprosto zajemanje, obdelavo in hrambo dokumentov. Opisana so razvojna orodja, ki jih v podjetju PIA d.o.o. uporabljamo za implementacijo sistema ODOS. Omenjeni sistem smo nadgradili z razvojem dodatnega modula za upravljanje informacijskih sredstev, ki zagotavlja skladnost s standardom ISO 27001 in priporočili ITIL v organizaciji, ki uporablja navedeni modul. Slednji omogoča vodenje kataloga informacijskih sredstev, spremljanje njihove zaloge in sprememb, celovit pregled nad njihovo uporabo, nadzor nad dostopi, pravicami itd. V diplomski nalogi so predstavljeni še nekateri drugi produkti za upravljanje sredstev, ki se pojavljajo na trgu.

Title:	DEVELOPMENT OF AN IT ASSET MANAGEMENT MODULE IN THE ODOS SYSTEM
Abstract:	In the graduation thesis, we introduce the concept of asset management, and explain its purpose and objective. Methodologies ITIL and COBIT and the requirements of ISO 17799 and ISO 27001 standards, which provide standardized asset management, are presented. General features, characteristics, and advantages of introduction of each methodology or standard in organization are given. The ODOS system, which in its basis, enables gathering, processing, and storage of documents is introduced in the main part of the thesis. Furthermore, the development tools for implementation of the ODOS system used by PIA d.o.o. are presented. The system mentioned was upgraded with the development of an additional module for asset management, which ensures accordance with the ISO 27001 standard and ITIL recommendations. The module enables keeping a register of the assets, monitoring their supplies and changes, a complete overview over their usage, supervision over accesses, rights, etc. Furthermore, some other asset management products, available on the market, are also presented in the thesis.
