Abstract:Letališče Ljubljana je največje in glavno letališče v Sloveniji.

Title:Optimization of operational tasks of ground handling, using new technologies at Ljubljana Airport
Abstract:Ljubljana Airport is the largest and the main airport in Slovenia. Accordingly to this is also the busiest, which has increased the market in recent years and has also an optimistic outlook for the future. With increasing traffic density comes to a large number of operations on the platform. In order to work optimal, cost-effective, fast and above all safely the company needs the intervention of the organization of work on the platform. The number of workers accommodates traffic, especially with students and temporary workers and there is also enough modern technical equipment suitable for their work. Therefore, it is more of the problems arising in communication and organization activity as the primary radio communication is not sufficient enough for optimal flow of information and control. Workers on the platform and the other participants at the airport must in the future - participate in the “real time” communication and to be provided at any, anywhere with all necessary information and data for their work. This can offer various information technologies, which has already become standard practice in all major airports around the world. Different providers of IT (information technology) offers tremendous solutions in this area, which would certainly, despite a higher initial capital investment, come out with positive outcomes.
