Abstract:
V diplomskem delu opišemo uvajanje in upravljanje omrežja za telefonijo IP (VoIP). Podan je splošen opis VoIP-a in njegove razširjenosti v Sloveniji. Opisani so protokoli, uporabljeni v omrežju VoIP, in modeli telefonskih sistemov v poslovnih okoljih. Jedro diplomskega dela sta metodologija vpeljave VoIP v obstoječe omrežje IP in simulacija vpeljave prometa VoIP v obstoječe omrežje IP. Simulacijo smo izvedli z orodjem OPNET. Raziskovali smo, koliko klicev je testno omrežje zmožno prenašati in kje se pojavljajo ozka grla.

Title:
VOIP NETWORK DEPLOYMENT AND MAINTENANCE
Abstract:
In this thesis the network deployment and maintenance of IP telephony (VoIP) are presented. A general description of the VoIP and its distribution in Slovenia is given. VoIP protocols and models of telephone systems used in business environments are described. Particular attention is given to the methodological aspect of introducing VoIP into the existing IP network, and a simulation of the deployment. The simulation was performed with the OPNET application; our goal was to establish how many simultaneous calls the test network was able to sustain and where bottlenecks would appear.
