Abstract:	V prvem delu diplomskega dela je najprej obravnavano vodovje kot sestavni del pokrajine, v kateri leži občina Bled. V nadaljevanju so z vidika rabe vode predstavljene in opisane tradicionalne rabe vode na tem območju. Blejsko jezero, Sava Bohinjka in Sava Dolinka že od nekdaj nudijo ugodne pogoje za turizem, ostanki več stoletij nazaj delujočih mlinov in žag na potokih so samo še nema priča takratne rabe vode, prav tako pa se spreminja tudi oskrba s pitno vodo in raba vode v kmetijstvu. Naloga poudarja pomen varovanja voda, predvsem zaščito pitne vode, ki je ni v izobilju, pa tudi jezer. Prebivalci že od nekdaj iščejo zaščito pred erozijo in poplavami. Kranjska stena je primer dobre slovenske prakse zaščite brežin. Nekatere tradicionalne prakse rabe vode so se v obdobju globalizacije že skoraj povsem izgubile, zato je poznavanje lokalnih primerov še toliko bolj pomembno za trajnostni razvoj.

Title:	OLD PRACTICES OF SUSTAINABLE WATER USE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BLED
Abstract:	The first part of the graduate thesis deals with the waters as the constituent part of the landscape of the Municipality of Bled. Furthermore, the thesis presents and describes the traditional ways of the water use in the area. Lake Bled, The Sava Bohinjka and the Sava Dolinka have offered favourable conditions for tourism throughout the times. The remains of the mills and sawmills operating on the brooks few centuries ago are a silent witness to the use of water at that time. There has also been a constant change in the supply of the drinking water and the use of water in the agriculture. The graduate thesis is meant to emphasize the protection of the waters, mainly the protection of the drinking water, which is not present in abundance, as well as the protection of the lakes. The local people have looked for the protection against the erosion and floods from times immemorial. The so called Krainer Wand is an example of a good Slovenian method to protect banks. Some traditional ways of the water use have been almost entirely lost in the time of the globalization, that is why it is of great importance to preserve the knowledge of the local examples for the sustainable development in the future.
