Nujna je njena promocija dobrih praks, sodelovanje v zdravstveno vzgojnih programih, načrtovanje in izvajanju novih pristopov s ciljem obvladovanja posledic osteoporoze in nudenje možnosti aktivnega – zdravega staranja vsem starostnim skupinam.

Title:The Importance of Minimally Invasive Medical Procedure in a Patient with Osteoporotic Vertebral Fracture
Abstract:One of the reasons for lower back pain in the elderly is also osteoporotic vertebral fractures. Along with other chronic illnesses (diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive lung diseases, etc.), they not only have a negative impact on the daily living activities (ADLs) of the elderly but also on their quality of life and pain management. Inability to perform ADLs independently is a very common reason for the elderly to choose to retreat from active society, which leads to early institutionalization. The aim of the diploma paper is to present the advantages of the minimally invasive medical procedure in fracture healing, percutaneous vertebroplasty. It either eliminates pain completely or lowers it significantly, which in turn leads to optimal quality of life for the elderly.A scrub nurse plays a fundamental role in the multidisciplinary team. The promotion of good practices is of the utmost importance, as well as cooperation in health- and educational programs, the planning and execution of new approaches in terms of managing the consequences of osteoporosis, and offering active and healthy ageing to all age groups.
