Abstract:Največjo grožnjo zaposlenim danes predstavlja čustveno in psihično nasilje, spolno ter drugo nadlegovanje na delovnem mestu, pogosto imenovano mobbing. Metodologija raziskovanja. Podatke smo pridobili z anketnim vprašalnikom, jih uredili s pomočjo kvantitativne analize in jih grafično prikazali. Rezultati.

Title:Mobbing and other acts of aggression healthcare workers are exposed to, and measures for their prevention
Abstract:The biggest threat for the employees today is emotional and psychical abuse, sexual and other harassment in the workplace, usually called mobbing. Adapting to new social conditions and new values, idolization of capital and competitiveness, which truly presents rivalry, brought a sense of insecurity to relations in the workplace. This was joined by the emerging of the free movement of goods, services and people, which, along with accumulating profit, causes also insecurity at gaining employment and unemployment. Therefore, mobbing causes negative consequences not only on the peoples' health, but also in worsened mutual relationships, conflicts, bad organizational atmosphere and consequently low working morals and efficiency. The basic goal of this Master's work is to determine the employees' awareness and standpoints about mobbing and different kinds of aggressions in healthcare. Research methodology. For the theoretical part of the Master's work relevant literature from different data collections was consulted and current field legislation was studied. As a goal group, healthcare workers from the Surgery clinic of the University clinical center Maribor were used. Information was gather on the basis of a survey, edited with a quantitative analysis and graphically presented. Results. The survey found that almost two thirds of people asked have already experienced mobbing or some other kind of abuse. The percentage of those, who have experienced abuse (even only periodically) is alarming; some individuals experience certain types of abuse even very often or at all times. Employees of the UCC Maribor mostly agree with the statement that negative media propaganda about healthcare influences the rise of abuse on healthcare workers. More than a half of people asked does not know how to react in the case of mobbing or other types of aggressions. Conclusion. It is not only important to define mobbing in theory; it is also important that it often occurs in practice. Research results draw our attention to the fact that changes are crucial and must be implemented immediately. We have to approach the development of knowledge about mobbing, organize obligatory lectures and workshops on mobbing in workplaces for all employee profiles without delay.
