V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene telesne razsežnosti otrok, telesni razvoj otrok, prekomerna telesna teža v predšolskem obdobju, gibalne sposobnosti otrok, gibalni razvoj, medsebojni vpliv telesnih razsežnosti in gibalnih sposobnosti ter dosedanje raziskave in ugotovitve. V empiričnem delu so prikazani rezultati motoričnih testov na vzorcu 38 predšolskih otrok. Podatki otrok so bili pridobljeni z merjenjem telesne višine in telesne teže ter motoričnimi testi. Rezultate motoričnih testov otrok smo primerjali s telesnimi razsežnostmi otrok in ugotavljali njihovo medsebojno povezanost.
Keywords:gibalne sposobnosti, telesne razsežnosti, predšolski otrok, gibalni razvoj, telesni razvoj, telesna teža, telesna višina, indeks telesne mase.

Title:MUTUAL RELATIONSHIP OF MOTOR ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL EXTENSION OF CHILDREN IN THE PRESCHOOL PERIOD
Abstract:The diploma work with a title Mutual Influences of Motor Abilities and Physical Extensions of Children in the Preschool Period is devided into theoretical and empiric part. The aim was to find out a connection between motive abilities and extensions of the body. Body extensions of children, developability, overweight in the preschool period, motor abilities and motor development, mutual influence of body extensions and motor abilities and researches and findings up to now are introduced in the theoretical part of the diploma. In the empiric part of the work there are shown the results of tests based on motor abilities of preschool children which have been done on 38 samples. The data of children were taken with the measure of their height and weight and from the tests of their motor abilities. The results of the tests were compared with the physical extensions of children and their mutual connection. Correlation between weight, height, index of the body mass and motor abilities was low. The conclusion is that body extensions do not influence on motor abilities of children. Children with a lower index of the body mass did not reach better results than children of the higher index. There are not any differences between boys and girls in the results of their motor abilities. Also in physical extensions there are not big differences between boys and girls of the same age.
Keywords:motor abilities, physical extensions, preschool child, motor development, physical development, weight, height, index of the body mass
