Title:ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE TOOLS
Abstract:Companies today face a variety of problems associated with the flood of data in a business environment; higher responsiveness has become a challenge that is more than often resolved through the use of business intelligence. Large amounts of data and their processing methods are as varied as the diverse data. Companies today need high-quality, accessible and timely information about the business process, all of them can provide business intelligence tools. Acceptance studies, which were conducted in the field of business intelligence is not great, so we conducted a survey of master's thesis on the basis of a questionnaire, which was distributed to 97 companies. Based on 37 completed questionnaires we analysed the scope of business intelligence, knowledge of some of the more known tools for data processing as well as their acceptance and use in the business area. Successful implementation and use of the tool itself, it is definitely added value of businesses, which currently operate in a very dynamic global market. Knowing, use, and understanding the use of data and information is so crucial in the implementation and use of business intelligence tools. As was confirmed by only analysing the results, where we discovered that the area that needs further attention companies, exactly the area of collecting and storing data.
