Abstract:V diplomskem delu obravnavamo procese nadvlade in podreditve v nacionalnih alegorijah Samorastniki Prežihovega Voranca in Vlak v Pakistan Khushwanta Singha.

Title:A CRITICAL DISCOURSE ANALYSIS OF THE NATIONAL ALLEGORIES SAMORASTNIKI AND VLAK V PAKISTAN FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF FEMINIST AND NEOCOLONIAL THEORIES
Abstract:This thesis is dealing with the processes of domination and subordination in national allegories Samorastniki from Prežihov Voranc and Vlak v Pakistan written by Khushwant Singh. The used research method is the method of critical discourse analysis (KDA), so called the Fairclough approach (1995). The main focus of the analysis are the structural impact of the political-economic system and power discourses on the construction of identities and the associated creation of otherness and to show the interconnection between economically-political practices and socio-cultural forms (eg. patriarchy). These works highlight the following political categories, on which the positions of dominated and subordinated subjects, such as gender, social class, and ethnicity, are set up hierarchically. We are determining that the pattern of dominance in Samorastniki is determined by social gender and class and in Train to Pakistan with the category of ethnicity. These literary works attempt to answer the question, how to replace the discourse of power relations and recreated otherness with a discourse of equality and social justice. The authors see the solution in the system change and call towards the revolutionary fight for (gender, ethnic, class) equality.
