Abstract:	V pričujočem diplomskem delu z naslovom »Moj domači kraj Slovenske Konjice – kako dobro ga poznajo učenci Osnovne šole Pod goro« se dopolnjujeta in prepletata dve zaokroženi celoti – teoretična in empirična. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljena slovenska osnovna šola (njena zgodovina in sedanjost). Poudarjena so njena načela, podrobneje je opredeljen predmetnik osnovne šole in učni načrti za posamezne predmete s stališča predmeta raziskovanja diplomskega dela, torej domačega kraja. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene Slovenske Konjice (legenda, geografska lega in površina, zgodovina, razvoj šolstva, gospodarstvo, promet, kulturna dediščina, turizem), v empiričnem delu pa predstavljamo rezultate raziskave med konjiškimi osnovnošolci o poznavanju svojega domačega kraja. Izsledki raziskave, v katero je bilo vključenih 180 osnovnošolcev, kažejo, da je izkazano znanje učencev o svojem domačem kraju kar visoko.

Title:	MY HOMETOWN SLOVENSKE KONJICE - HOW WELL PUPILS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL POD GORO KNOW IT
Abstract:	The final thesis entitled »My hometown Slovenske Konjice – how well pupils of Primary School Pod goro know it« consists of two wholes – a theoretical and an empirical one. The theoretical part describes the Slovenian primary school (in the past and at present). It emphasises its principles, and defines primary-school subjects and curricula for individual subjects from the point of view of the subject of the research, which is the hometown. The theoretical part features Slovenske Konjice (the legend, its geographical position and surface, history, the development of the school system, economy, traffic, cultural heritage, tourism), whereas the empirical part deals with the presentation of results of the research carried out among primary-school pupils who were asked how well they know their hometown Slovenske Konjice. The research, which included 180 primary-school pupils, shows that the knowledge of the hometown among pupils is quite high.
