Abstract:	V diplomskem seminarju smo definirali in opredelili pojme glede pakiranja ter logistike. V uvodnem delu diplomskega seminarja smo določili okvire, znotraj katerih smo nadalje postopali pri izdelavi seminarja. Osrednjega dela smo se lotili tako, da smo najprej postavili teoretična izhodišča različnih avtorjev in virov iz spleta. Ti so nam služili kot upora pri razumevanju problema. Dokazali smo, da sta embaliranje in proces pakiranja nuji sodobnega življenja. Brez primernega pakiranja ni moč slediti ciljem logistike, ta pa je neizogiben člen uspešnega delovanja večine proizvodnih podjetij. Potrebno se je zavedati, da je bil prav vsak izdelek, ki ga najdemo na trgovskih policah, podvržen določenemu logističnemu servisu. Brez učinkovite logistike ga tam ne bi bilo. Prav tako je zelo malo izdelkov takšnih, ki ne potrebujejo embaliranja oziroma pakiranja kot procesa priprave proizvoda za transport. Zato je nujno, da se proces pakiranja prilagodi zahtevam logistike. Velik izziv za embalerja predstavlja že dejstvo, kateri pakirni material izbrati za posamezno vrsto blaga. Material mora zadostiti vsaj desetim funkcijam embalaže. Hkrati je smiselno opredeliti dopustne stroške embalaže in procesa pakiranja blaga. Dotaknili smo se tudi področja ekologije, saj sta oba ključna pojma neposredno povezana s to tematiko; embalaža predvsem z odlaganjem in njeno proizvodnjo, logistika pa takrat, ko za transport uporabljamo okolju neprijazne tehnologije in sredstva. Ta povzročajo hrup in onesnaževanje. V zadnjem delu diplomskega seminarja smo poskušali svoja teoretična spoznanja podkrepiti s primeri iz prakse. Proučili smo poslovanje ter potek logističnih in pakirnih dejavnosti v podjetju Kema d.o.o. iz Puconcev. Prav tako je bil opravljen intervju z odgovornimi v podjetju za določena področja. Na podlagi ugotovitev smo lahko zaključili, da se dognanja v praksi v veliki meri skladajo s teorijo različnih avtorjev.

Title:	IMPORTANCE OF PACKAGING FOR LOGISTICS PROCESSES OF THE COMPANY
Abstract:	In the diploma seminar we described and defined the concepts of packaging and logistics. In the introductory part of the diploma seminar we defined frameworks, which served as a basis for the making of the seminar. In the central part we first set theoretical bases of various authors and sources from the web. We used them as a foothold in understanding the problem. We have proven that wrapping and packaging process are necessary in modern life. Without adequate packaging, it is not possible to pursue the objectives of logistics. It is an inevitable part in terms of effective functioning of most manufacturing companies. It should be remembered that every product, which can be found on store shelves, was subject to certain logistics service. Without effective logistics it would not be there. Furthermore, there are very few such products that do not require wrapping or packaging, as a process of preparing a product for transport. Therefore, it is necessary to adapt the packaging process to the requirements of logistics. A major challenge for the packer is which packing material to choose for each type of goods. Material must do for at least ten functions of packaging. At the same time it makes sense to define the allowable costs of packaging and packaging process of the goods. We also touched on the ecology, because both key concepts are directly related to this topic. Packaging above all landfill and its production, and logistics, when we use environmental unfriendly technologies and resources for transport. This generates noise and pollution. In the last part of the diploma seminar we have tried to substantiate our theoretical findings with practical examples. We have studied commerce and the progress of packaging and logistics activities in the company Kema Ltd. from Puconci. We have also conducted an interview with the company responsible for these areas. Based on the findings, we can conclude that the findings in practice are largely consistent with the theory of various authors.
