Drugo poglavje obravnava pojem kulture, opiše sestavine kulture, razloži, kako lahko kulturo analiziramo, podrobneje opredeli Hofstedejev model kulture in primerja razlike med kitajsko in slovensko kulturo. Tretji del diplomskega seminarja obravnava pomen motivacije in jo opredeli s pomočjo več teorij, najbolj znana izmed teh je Maslowa teorija potreb.

Title:CULTURE INFLUENCE ON MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES: CASE OF SLOVENIA AND CHINA
Abstract:The content of diploma is divided into five chapters. In the first introductory chapter is a description of the problem, there are also the objectives and the theses of diploma and in the end there are explained limitations and provided research methods. The second section discusses the concept of culture, describes the components of culture, explains how culture is analysed, specifies Hofsted’s culture model and compares the differences between the Chinese and Slovenian culture. The third part of the diploma deals with the importance of motivation and defines it by several theories; the most famous of these is Maslow's theory of needs. The third chapter explains the types of motives. In this context, we emphasize the importance of employee satisfaction at work, explain the ways in which you can motivate employees, especially focuses on methods that are commonly used in practice, we also explain the motivation of employees, which leads to outstanding results and finally we give an explanation why it is important to reward employees, and when there is the most suitable one type of the rewards (e.g. financial or material) and when the other type (non-financial or intangible). The fourth chapter of the diploma connects the second part about the culture and the third part about the motivation, so the title of this chapter is the impact of culture on employee motivation. In this chapter it is explained especially how to deal with the impact of Slovenian culture on the motivation of employees, and how the Chinese culture impacts on motivation. At the end there are presented the differences in motivating employees in both countries. The fifth chapter rounds off the whole diploma. It contains the essence, therefore the final thoughts and conclusions that we came through the making of these seminar.
