Abstract:V teoretičnem diplomskem delu so predstavljene sodobne didaktične metode za poučevanje naravoslovja, in sicer projektno učno delo, problemsko učenje, izkustveno učenje, raziskovalni pouk in eksperimentalno učno delo.

Title:MODERN DIDACTIC METHODS FOR EARLY NATURAL SCIENCE EDUCATION
Abstract:The theoretical diploma thesis features modern didactic methods for teaching science, including project-based learning activities, problem-based learning, experience-based learning, research-based classroom techniques and experimental learning activities. Modern didactic methods put the focus on the importance of children’s exploration of nature, activities which allow children to accept and evaluate activities based on their self-acquired experience, planning the activities with the use of modern didactic methods and the execution phase. It is important for children to get acquainted with scientific and research-based method of approach in science in their early childhood and further to learn do define hypotheses or make forecasts, independently explore and observe nature, monitor and record acquired data and further to analyse and evaluate such data and present the final results. The diploma thesis also focuses on the role the preschool teachers play in the planning and execution of the above activities. The diploma thesis provides an explicit description of positive effect didactic methods have in the process of teaching science in early childhood, the process that enables children to acquire knowledge and to develop a number of skills and abilities. The description of individual modern didactic methods for teaching science in early childhood is followed by examples of good practice, which provide an insight into practical execution of theory.
