Abstract:Na prašičerejski kmetiji Osterc (Vučja vas) smo ugotavljali vpliv podtlačnega prezračevalnega sistema UNITHERM 6.3E na kakovost zraka v vzrejališču, kjer so bili vhlevljeni tekači starosti od 5 do 12 tednov.

Title:The use of vacuum system for climate regulation in pre-fettering
Abstract:measurements of concentrations of gasses (O2, CO2, NH3, and H2S) at varying airflows (0,18, 0,27, 0,34, and 0,47 ms-1) in 24 different areas inside a room with the area of 35,96 m2 and volume of 86 m3 to evaluate compliance with legal exposure limits. Measurement locations were either 5 cm or 66 cm above ground in the seven pens and the corridor. The microclimate was found to be least optimal near the ground and in the corners. The measured NH3 (4,12 ± 1,5 ppm) and CO2 (851,03 ± 121,2 ppm) concentrations were highest at the lowest ventilator speed (0,18 ms-1). Higher speeds (0,34 or 0,47 ms-1) were sufficient to establish a satisfactory ventilation. The results for the examined farm show only one vacuum fan to be insufficient for satisfactory air circulation. Two fans would be ideal, since they could work at lower speeds and thus use less energy. This would allow for consistent ventilation and better air quality in all parts of the facility, giving all piglets identical living conditions. The resulting stress reduction should improve the health of the animals while simultaneously increasing the efficiency of feeding and growth.
