Abstract:V diplomskem seminarju so predstavljeni trendi na področju poslovne inteligence, ki so trenutno najbolj uporabljeni.

Title:TRENDS IN BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE
Abstract:My thesis is presenting trends in business intelligence, which are currently most popular. Trends are necessary for continuous development and improvement of business intelligence. We presented the following trends: mobile business intelligence, cloud business intelligence, self-service business intelligence and business intelligence and social media, which includes two trends: collaborative business intelligence and social media analytics. The most widely used trend is mobile BI, which is the ability to access business-critical information anytime and anywhere on any mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet. You can get the same data accessibility through Cloud BI, which is the least popular off all trends mentioned in this thesis, mainly because, there are some safety questions. We have also presented self-service BI, which is allowing users to be more self-sufficient and effective. Due to the presence of social media, there are also two trends there are related to social media. The first one is collaborative BI that provides sharing of ideas and solutions among users. There is also a second trend in this area, which is social media analytics that refers to the rapidly growing field of monitoring, measuring, analyzing and interpreting social media conversations, often in real time. In the end, we looked at the main providers of business intelligence and the two most successful, SAP and Oracle, we described and compared to each other.
