Abstract:V sklopu mednarodnega projekta INEA (International Network for Edible Aroids) smo analizirali 80 kultivarjev (akcesij) tara z namenom določiti vsebnost makro (Ca, K, Mg, P) in mikroelementov (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu) in preveriti, ali obstajajo med posameznimi kultivarji statistično značilne razlike v vsebnosti posameznega elementa.

Title:Key micro and macro-elements of taro (Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott) from Ghana
Abstract:In association with the International Network for Edible Aroids (INEA), corm samples of 80 different cultivars (accessions) of taro (Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott) from Ghana were analyzed. The analyses involved the contents of macro (Ca, K, Mg, P) and micro- elements (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu). The concentrations of these elements were determined by various spectroscopic techniques. The results showed that among macro-elements potassium had the highest concentration and calcium the lowest. On the other side, the most represented micro-element was zinc and the least represented was copper. Regarding contents of individual elements there were statistically significant differences between cultivars.
