Abstract:	Uporaba dokumentov v papirnati obliki v naši družbi je ogromna. Bolj kot družba raste, bolj zapleten postane dostop do ustreznih in natančnih informacij, zato se procesi upočasnijo. Nasprotno so pričakovanja javnosti za hiter in neposredni dostop vedno večja. Vedno večje število podjetij je zato postavljeno pred izziv, kako obvladovati število dokumentov in s tem informacij, s katere se srečuje. Uvedba dokumentnega sistema za srednja in večja podjetja je danes nuja. V diplomski nalogi smo opisali lastnosti in značilnosti elektronskega sistema za upravljanje z dokumenti ter predstavili zajemanje dokumentov, obvladovanje življenjskega cikla dokumentov (angl. workflow) in elektronsko arhiviranje. Dotaknili smo se tudi področja zakonodaje, kjer smo omenili Zakon o elektronskem poslovanju in elektronskem podpisu (ZEPEP), Uredbo o varstvu dokumentarnega in arhivskega gradiva (UVDAG) in Zakon o varstvu dokumentarnega in arhivskega gradiva ter arhivih (ZVDAGA) v sklopu katerega smo predstavili Enotne tehnološke zahteve ETZ in Notranja pravila. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili prednosti in pomanjkljivosti elektronskega dokumentnega sistema in ga zaključili s poglavjem o ponudnikih sistemov. V drugem delu diplomskega dela smo predstavili uporabo elektronskega dokumentnega sistema v podjetju Vzajemna zdravstvena zavarovalnica, d.v.z. od zajema do arhiviranja dokumenta. Predstavili smo številne procese, ki so se z uvedbo EDMS prevetrili, poenotili in optimizirali. Bolj podrobneje smo predstavili integracijo EDMS v procesu vodenja izvršilnega postopka, kjer smo prikazali prilagoditev in optimizacijo procesa ob uporabi EDMS. V diplomski nalogi smo pokazali, kako učinkovit je EDMS ter da postaja nepogrešljiva stvar v delovnih procesih Vzajemne. Pokazali smo, da proces uvedbe EDMS še ni končan in podali lastno mnenje o možnostih uvedbe uporabe EDMS še na preostalih področjih.

Title:	CRITICAL EVALUATION OF ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN THE COMPANY VZAJEMNA HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY, D.V.Z.
Abstract:	Using documents in paper form in our society is enormous. More a company grows, more complicated it becomes to access relevant and accurate information - therefore the process is slowed down. In contrast, the public's expectations for a quick and direct access is increasing. Consequently a growing number of companies is challenging the different ways to manage the number of documents and the information they encounter. The application of a document management system for medium-sized and larger companies is a must today. In this diploma paper we describe the properties and characteristics of electronic document management systems and present document imaging, document workflow systems and electronic archiving. We also refer to the legislation, where we have mentioned the Electronic Commerce and Electronic Signature Act (ZEPEP), Regulation on the protection of documents and archives (UVDAG) and the Act on Protection of Documents and Archives and Archival Institutions (ZVDAGA) within we have presented United technological requirements ETZ and internal policies. In the theoretical part we present the advantages and disadvantages of electronic document management system and concluded with a chapter on systems provider. In the second part of the diploma paper we present the use of an electronic document management system in the company Vzajemna Health Insurance Company from imaging to archiving documents. We have presented a number of processes that the introduction of EDMS have revised, standardized and optimized. We have gone into the details at presenting the integration of EDMS in the process of keeping the enforcement process, where we show the adjustment and optimization of the process using the EDMS. In this paper, we have shown how effective EDMS is and it is becoming an indispensable thing in the working process of Vzajemna. We have shown that the introduction of EDMS process is not yet complete, and have given his own opinion on the possibility of introducing the use of EDMS in the remaining areas.
