Abstract:Diplomsko delo z naslovom Učinek gibalnih dejavnosti v vrtcu, izvajanih v različnih obdobjih dneva obsega teoretični in empirični del naloge.

Title:THE EFFECT OF MOTOR ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT AT DIFFERENT PERIODS OF THE DAY IN THE KINDERGARDEN
Abstract:The thesis titled The Effects of Motor Activities Carried Out at Different Times of the Day in the Kindergarten comprises a theoretical and a practical part. The former deals with psychomotor learning, human motor skills , integrated child development, the content of motor/sports activities, children's games, the influence of the kindergarten on the development of a child and the effectiveness of motor skill activities practised in the kindergarten relative to the time of the day when the children do them. The results of different motor tests which are based on a pedagogic experiment are presented in the empirical part and they have been attained by initial and final motor testing of two experimental groups (one experimental group was tested before and the other one after lunch) and a control group. Each motor testing incorporated thirteen different tests checking motor skills. The experimental test group consisted of fifty-two children, aged 3 to 4. The testing stretched over a period of two months and two different methods were applied – the descriptive and the experimental method. The data thus gained have been processed with the descriptive statistics (minimum/maximum and average value, Z-value of initial and final motor testing). In order to test the hypotheses, a t-test for dependent samples and the ANOVA test have been used. The research has confirmed that those children who were engaged in the motor skill activities prior to lunch exhibit a significant difference between the initial and the final phase of testing. The research has also shown that statistically there is a significant difference between the initial and final testing with children belonging to both experimental groups.
