Abstract:
Diplomsko delo podaja kronološki razvoj nogometnih pravil od zgodnjih civilizacij do sodobne nogometne igre in je pomemben prispevek k razumevanju nastanka nogometa in nogometnih pravil. Pred nekaj tisočletij pred našim štetjem je bilo znano, da so na Kitajskem udarjali žogo z nogo po natančno določenih pravilih. Tudi druge razvite kulture tistega časa so začeli gojiti podobne oblike nogometnih pravil. V srednjem veku in začetku novega so bila najbolj zaslužena Francija, Italija ter predvsem Anglija, ki je bila odgovorna za razvoj nogometa in s tem moderni nogomet utemeljila. Pravila kakršna poznamo danes so se razvila iz iger igranih v času zgodnjega srednjega veka v Angliji. Leta 1863 so bila v Angliji spisana prva pravila s katerim so v veljavo stopili enotni predpisi in ustanovila se je angleška nogometna zveza. Prelomnica modernega nogometa se je tako zgodila v Angliji, kjer so se pravila prenesla s pomočjo kolonij ter drugih oblik globalizacije po vsem svetu.

THE HISTORY OF THE RULES OF FOOTBALL
Abstract:
In the diploma, the chronological development of football rules from early civilizations to modern football game is presented, and it is an important contribution to understanding the origins of football and football rules. Several millennia BC, it was known that the Chinese hit the ball with the foot under specific rules. Other ancient cultures of that time also started to develop similar forms of football rules. In the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period, France, Italy and especially England were the most deserving for the development of football. England was responsible for the development of football and set ground for the modern football. Rules known today were evolved from games played in the early period of Middle Ages in England. In the year 1863, first rules were written in England and thus first unified regulations came to force. Also, England's Football Association was established. The turning point of modern football also happened in England because with the help of colonies and other forms of globalization the rules spread around the world.
