Abstract:	Proizvodna podjetja se soočajo s čedalje bolj zahtevnim položajem na trgu. Stranke so vedno bolj zahtevne, pogoji proizvodnje pa vedno bolj kompleksni. Iskanje odgovora na vprašanje, kako proizvesti več in večje število tipov na isti liniji, ki zaseda enako velik prostor, pa postaja ključnega pomena za konkurenčnost. Raznolikost in segmentacija proizvodnje se večata iz dneva v dan, obstoječi procesi pa težko sledijo vsem tem spremembam. Pojavljajo se ozka grla, zastoji in pomanjkanje prostora. Vse to pa ne sme vplivati na število proizvedenih proizvodov. Iskanje rešitev gre zato vedno bolj v smeri dolgoročnih in ne začasnih rešitev. Udeleženi v obremenjene procese se namreč zavedajo, da če se že letos soočajo s prostorskim problemom, je velika možnost, da bo naslednje leto potreba po prostoru še večja. Istočasno se moramo zavedati, da iskanje rešitev zunaj zidov podjetja predstavlja dodatne manipulacije, ki predstavljajo dodaten strošek. Znotraj podjetja BSH Hišni aparati, d. o. o. razpoložljivega prostora na oddelku hrane ni, zato je le-tega možno iskati v edinih neizkoriščenih prostorskih zalogah, tj. v višini. Slednja nam omogoča, da materialne zaloge komisioniramo v dveh, treh ali celo v večjemu številu nadstropij.

Title:	Optimization of material flow between the warehouse and production in the Food department in the company BSH House appliances LTD
Abstract:	Production companies face ever more demanding situation on the market. Customers' demands are growing, while production conditions are more complex. Seeking for the answer on how to produce larger quantities and an increased number of varieties on the same production line, taking up equal space, is becoming crucial for competitiveness. Diversity and segmentation of production are increasing every day, while the existing processes have a hard time keeping up with all these changes. Bottlenecks, standstills and lack of space are emerging. All this should not affect the number of manufactured products. Search for solutions is becoming long-term orientated instead of searching for temporary solutions. Those involved in the overloaded processes are aware of the fact that if we lack space this year, it is very possible that the requirement for space will be even greater next year. At the same time we must be aware of the fact that searching for solutions outside the existing walls of the company presents additional manipulations, which present additional costs. Within the company BSH house appliances LTD in the Food department there is no available space, so we can search for it in the only unused space resources, which is height. Height allows us to commission material stock in two, three or even more floors.
