Abstract:
Vsakdo od nas je verjetno že opravil nakup preko spletnih strani. Nakup je bil opravljen preko spletne strani proizvajalca izdelka, storitve ali preko spletne trgovine, v kateri smo izbrali izdelke z nam predstavljenega seznama ali kataloga. Malokdo od nas pa razmišlja, na kakšen način upravljavec spletne strani osvežuje seznam ali katalog svoje ponudbe. Upravljanje nakupa preko spletnih strani enega samega proizvajalca ali izdelka je lahko preprosto, saj upravljavec spletne strani ročno določi opis in cene izdelka. S povečanjem ponudbe pa postane delo nesmiselno in drago. Pri upravljanju večjih spletnih trgovin se ročni vnos izkaže za neprimernega. Pomoč z uporabo tehnologije je tu nujno potrebna. V diplomskem delu bomo opisali sistem uporabe XML za posodabljanje spletnega kataloga izdelkov. Opisali bomo, na kakšen način je to rešeno med podjetjema Parametica d.o.o. in Mimovrste d.o.o. Podali bomo zgradbo in vsebino XML datoteke in kako se spletni katalog posodablja. Opisali bomo tudi standarde, na katere se izdelovalec katalogov sklicuje. Razložili bomo zgradbo spletnega kataloga in načine njegove uporabe. Na kratko bomo opisali zgodovino spletnih katalogov ter dobili uvid v njihov prihodnji razvoj.

USE OF XML FOR UPDATING PRODUCTS WEB CATALOG
Abstract:
Almost everyone of us has made shopping over the internet sites already. The purchases were made over manufacturers web sites, services or over internet shops with help of manufacturer online catalogs. However, not many of us actually think about in what way web site owners refresh their offer on web sites. Managing purchases on web sites of a single manufacturer can be relatively easy since administrators can manage items by hand. But with adding large numbers of items this method is no more suitable. At that stage the use of technology and programming comes very handy. In this thesis we will describe how the XML technology can help us refresh web catalogues. We will describe the working solutions between companies Parametica d.o.o. and Mimovrste d.o.o. We will explain the structure and in-halt of XML files and describe the way of synchronizing web catalogues. Further more, we will see what the standards in web catalog and it's structures are. We will briefly look at the history of web catalog standards and introduce the technologies that can be in use in the forseeable future.
