Title:THE LEVEL OF SATISFACTION IN DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONAL UNITS OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
Abstract:The object of the Master's thesis is to determine the employee satisfaction level in two separate organisations within the Slovenian Army, determining the factors responsible, and submitting propositions, based on the study and findings, that could elevate the satisfaction level of employment. The thesis is comprised of a theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we compared the work of both domestic and foreign authors, and defined more broadly the theory that relates to factors of satisfaction. In the empirical part, the research focused on the level of organization specific to the Ministry of Defence, using a questionnaire. That was divided between two different organisations within the Slovenian Army. We wanted to confirm or refute the research questions, and then based on the survey responses, using SPSS analysis, to determine or at least approximate the real situation prevailing within the wider organization in The Slovenian Army. Using the descriptive method, we investigated deviations, frequencies, and the arithmetic mean of a certain part of the respondents. All of the results were then visually displayed in the form of graphs and tables. The paired T test was used to compare individual claims with the aim of validating research questions. Based on the results of the survey, we came to the conclusion that the employees of both organisations, A and B, are quite content in the workplace. The prevailing opinion is that the management is very efficient and that employee motivation is at a high level. Also, positive peer relationships are present in both organisations. From the analyzed results, we also come to some reasonable conclusions to which we have highlighted areas where improvements could be made.
