Title:	STANKO VRAZ MED ILIRSTVOM IN SLOVENSTVOM

Abstract:	V pričujočem diplomskem delu sem se ukvarjala z raziskovanjem in s študijem različne strokovne literature, ki opisuje življenje in delo Stanka Vraza, ter z literaturo, povezano z obdobjem romantike in ilirizmom, torej z obdobjem, v katerem je Vraz deloval. V uvodu je obravnavano književno obdobje romantike – od začetka tridesetih do sredine petdesetih let 19. stoletja (Pogačnik 1988: 221), sledi predstavitev ilirizma, tako v političnem kot tudi v kulturno-književnem gibanju, posvetila pa sem se tudi študiju slovnice Matije Majarja Ziljskega. V drugem delu sem predstavila življenje in delo Stanka Vraza; takšen je tudi naslov tega poglavja diplomskega dela. Tretje poglavje pa nosi naslov Jezikovna analiza izbrane Vrazove korespondence, kjer sem se ukvarjala z analizo prvega pisma iz korespondence Vraz–Kočevar. V tem delu je uporabljena primerjava Vrazovega jezika v pismih s pravili, ki jih je postavil M. M. Ziljski v svoji slovnici z naslovom Pravila, kako izobraževati ilirsko narečje i u obče slavenski jezik. Diplomsko delo je zaključeno z ugotovitvami, ki so bile pomembne za Vrazov jezik.

Title:	STANKO VRAZ BETWEEN ILLYRIAN MOVEMENT AND SLOVENIANNES
Abstract:	In this final thesis, I have researched and studied various sources of professional literature describing the life and work of Stanko Vraz, as well as literature related to the period of Romanticism and Illyrian movement, namely the period in which Stanko Vraz created his works. In the introduction, the literary movement of Romanticism at the beginning of the thirties until the fifties of the 19th century (Pogačnik 1988: 221)) is discussed followed by the presentation of Illyrian movement in its political as well as cultural and literary aspects. Moreover, I have also focused on the study of grammar of Matija Majar Ziljski. In the second part, the life and work of Stanko Vraz is presented, which is also the heading of this section of the final thesis. The third section is headed Linguistic analysis of selected correspondence of Vraz, which deals with the analysis of the first letter of the correspondence between Vraz and Kočevar. In this part the comparison of the language Vraz uses in his letters is made with the rules set by Matija Majar Ziljski in his grammar headed as Rules on how to teach Illyrian dialect and the Slovenian language in general. The final thesis is concluded on the basis of findings important for the language of Stanko Vraz.
