Title:IZBIRA DEJAVNOSTI PROSTEGA ČASA GENERACIJE X IN Y GLEDE NA STATUS ZAPOSLITVE

Abstract:Današnji hiter življenjski in delovni ritem že skoraj popolnoma obvladujeta človekovo življenje. Obveznosti na delu in izven dela so že v takšnem obsegu, da nam primanjkuje časa za osebno življenje in za naš prosti čas. Vsekakor pa je prosti čas pomemben in potreben, saj omogoča uresničitev naših želja izven vsakodnevnih obveznosti, omogoča našo osebno rast in je sestavni del kakovosti življenja. Dejavnosti, s katerimi se ukvarjamo v svojem prostem času, nimajo natančno zasnovanih ciljev, saj jih uresničujemo na osnovi svojih lastnih interesov, ki se med generacijami razlikujejo, prav tako pa se razlikujejo tudi glede na status zaposlitve. Glavno področje obravnave magistrskega dela je pojem prostega časa, dejavnosti prostega časa v povezavi z generacijama X in Y ter generacijske razlike glede na status zaposlitve. V teoretičnem delu smo se osredotočili na opredelitev prostega časa, predstavili smo njegovo zgodovino, vpliv dela na prosti čas, njegove dejavnike, načela in funkcije prostega časa ter dejavnosti prostega časa. Prav tako smo opredelili generacijo X in Y, predstavili posamezne lastnosti in razlike obeh generacij glede na status zaposlitve. V empiričnem delu smo s pomočjo pridobljene ciljne skupine 253 pripadnikov generacije X in Y iz območja celotne Slovenije ugotavljali razpoložljivost prostega časa generacije X in Y glede na status zaposlitve, pomembnost posamezne dejavnosti prostega časa in načine preživljanja prostega časa. Uporabili smo metodo SWING, s katero smo ugotavljali pomembnost dejavnosti prostega časa, in s pomočjo programa Web-HIPRE sestavili drevo dejavnosti prostega časa. Analizirali in interpretirali smo pridobljene rezultate, ki kažejo, s katerimi dejavnostmi se generaciji X in Y ukvarjata glede na njen zaposlitveni status, zavrnili ali potrdili postavljene hipoteze in podali ključne ugotovitve raziskave ter priporočila.

Title:SELECTION LEISURE OF ACTIVITIES OF THE GENERATION X AND Y ACCORDING TO EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Abstract:Nowadays, the fast rhythm of everyday life and work has nearly completely took over our personal life. Work and after-work obligations occupy our day to a great extent leaving us with little time for personal life and leisure-time activities. However, leisure time plays an important role in our life and is needed, as it improves the quality of life, makes it possible to grow personally and to fulfil personal wishes outside of work. Leisure-time activities are carried out according to our personal interests, therefore, they do not include thoroughly planned goals. Personal interests differ from generation to generation and according to person's employment status. This master's thesis deals first and foremost with the concept of leisure-time itself followed by the description of leisure-time activities carried out by both generations X and Y. It also gives an insight into generation differences according to the employment status. The theoretical part of the master's thesis provides the definition of leisure time, gives an insight into historical development of the concept of leisure time, leisure-time activities, factors, principles and functions of leisure time as well as illustrates how work influences leisure time. The theoretical part also includes definitions of both generations X and Y. In addition, the characteristics and differences between those generations according to the employment status are presented. The empirical part is based on a research conducted among 253 people who formed a target group consisting of members of generations X and Y from the entire Slovenia. The research was focused on the availability of leisure time among the members of generations X and Y according to their employment status, the importance of each leisure-time activity and the ways of spending leisure time. The SWING method was used for examining the importance of leisure time, and with the Web-HIPRE programme a value tree representing leisure-time activities was constructed. The analysed results of the research showed which leisure-time activities are predominant in the generations X and Y according to a person's employment status. In addition, the given hypotheses were either confirmed or rejected and the key findings of the research as well as recommendations were presented.
